Welcome to the Whitehouse Project by Scott Forbes

Thank you for your interest in my work. Ok, it's not really work. It's fun. I am creating an anatomically correct map of the Whitehouse using the Worldcraft game engine. This is the engine used for Half-Life, Counter-Strike and Team Fortress

The original idea was to make a Whitehouse that people could tour. I started making the map using VRML but eventually bumped up against it's many limitations. So I settled on Worldcraft which is an amazing virtual reality tool.

Currently it is set up as a Counterstrike map with hostages to rescue. Later there will be versions for Hunted and Bomb Diffuse. After that is complete, I intend to have a Team Fortress version, though I have doubts as to how well it will play. The ultimate goal is to make a single player version on CD that will feature a guided tour by your favorite president.

Below are screenshots of the progress thus far. The map is about 40% complete, yet even so it is playable. The textures are temporary of course and much of the map is not finished.
